My opportunity is not necessarily a product, but it is a service. A way to get from Gainesville to New York and vice versa, in one flight.
She is from Long Island, New York, and is always asked why she chose to attend the University of Florida. She states that she loves the weather, and for no other reason then that she just admired UF. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, and is just about 5 feet tall. She's 20 years old, currently a Sophomore, and is a member of the sorority Delta Phi Epsilon. She joined Delta Phi Epsilon because their house radiated comfort, fun, and familiar faces. A lot of other people in that chapter are also from Long Island.
She loves everything about UF, besides how hard it is to get to Gainesville. Her parents did not allow her to bring her car because parking spots are too expensive and her older siblings didn't get the privilege of doing so either. Since she does not have her car here, she frequently struggles in booking flights, finding rides to the airport, etc. To compensate for a car, she purchased a scooter with her own money from her summer internship. She purchased a white, wolf scooter, typical of all sorority girls. It has helped her get around, however it still cannot get her to the airport.
Despite this, to tell you more about her she is very into her studies. She uses her planner each day, and frequently gets her assignments done in advance. This is due to her anxiety and overwhelming love for napping. If her homework's done, she gets to nap!
What do I have in common with her?
I have a lot in common with the avatar I created. We both have blonde hair, blue eyes, and the same stature. We are both 20 years old, and joined a sorority, however I am different in that I dropped. I also have a scooter, and was unable to bring my car.
If you have anything in common with the avatar, do you think that is a coincidence?
I have a lot in common with her, and I do not think this is a coincidence at all. I am someone who needs the opportunity I am pursuing, therefore, I basically created "another me."

Hey Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI think you’ve done a great job with your avatar! You went into plenty of detail and focused on both her general characterizes that would be shared by many customers, and the specifics that would probably be more unique to your avatar. It’s also very good that you can relate to your avatar as this will help you really narrow don’t your markets using your own experiences.
Hi Sarah!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate how detailed your avatar is! I also like how you described some of the struggles faced other than the airport issue. It is very personal and relatable, helping us to understand why the need is so important to her. I liked how at the end you stated that it is not a coincidence that you have a lot in common, and that you created basically another version of yourself. If you came up with the idea, what better prospective user than someone who is very similar to you.
